Tamera Fillinger

Tamera Fillinger is inspired by HPP’s mission to empower low-income and homeless pregnant women and families. A lawyer and consultant, she has devoted her career to supporting social impact organizations like HPP around the world. Tamera lived and worked for over 20 years in Asia and Africa. In Nairobi and Jakarta, she served as regional legal advisor to USAID’s development and humanitarian assistance programs. In Beijing, she led a foundation focused on expanding healthcare access for low-wage women and their children. In Singapore, she founded a legal clinic for migrant workers. She also taught at leading law schools in both Singapore and Beijing. Tamera began her legal career in the China practice at Paul, Weiss in New York and now advises nonprofits on governance, compliance, and strategy from her home base in the Bay Area. Tamera received her law degree from UCLA and her BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She loves hiking and exploring with family and friends.
