2019 Our House Gala
Saturday Night Fever
On May 18th, we opened our doors for a disco-themed Our House gala that raised over $215,000 for families in need. Held onsite at The Lipman Family Building, cellist-slash-beatboxer Cello Joe helped welcome 300 guests to our 3-story building, which was transformed into a nightclub à la Studio 54. Guests enjoyed empanadas by El Sur and decade-appropriate highballs. Later in the evening, DJ Rubia helped us dance the night away with throwback favorites from Donna Summer and ABBA.
HPP was overjoyed to celebrate the achievements of staff member and former client Carrie Hamilton, who recently received her Certificate of Drug & Alcohol Counseling from City College. We also honored our generous corporate neighbor Zynga, for their commitment to HPP families. In addition to hosting donation drives and volunteer days, Zynga has opened its space to HPP families on many occasions, hosting parties and celebrations in their family-friendly (complete with a game room!) facility.
