When I first found out that HPP had a Community Technology Center, I was living in a shelter. I came in everyday looking for a job and housing, and the CTC truly became my second home until I got my apartment and my job. What I liked most about the Community Technology Center was that I had the freedom to look for work and housing my way, on my own, but help was always available when I needed it. The volunteers in there are awesome and always willing to help. The CTC gave me the necessary resources to do the things that I needed to do. I used the computers almost everyday until I got a job. I updated my resume and created a new cover letter, contacted employers, filled out applications, scheduled interviews, even took refresher courses on the internet on programs like PowerPoint. The resources in the CTC provided me with everything to reach my housing and work goals.
