I have been a part of HPP’s Peer Parent Support Group since April 2006. It has made a huge difference in my life. Since being a part of the support group and having my Peer Mentor Ramona (who is now a case manager) in my life, I have made so many strides. The group has helped me stay clean and know that I’ve got someone on my side. I look at my kids now, and I want to stay clean for them. I am going to start school so that I can someday be a case manager to help others through their own struggles. HPP helped me reunify all four of my children back into my family. If it weren’t for HPP, I would have been lost in the streets. My kids wouldn’t have been with me today, and I would still be using drugs. I would be unhappy, and I wouldn’t have the love for my kids as much as I do today. HPP brought my family together and made it stronger.
