Many thanks and kudos to Erinn Sheedy, an HPP volunteer and up-and-coming fundraising rockstar who hosted her own “Back to School Supply Drive”. Currently an 8th grader at Charles Armstrong School, Erinn distributed over 100 letters asking her neighbors in Broadmoor Village to donate a variety of school supplies to HPP. She also baked cookies and cupcakes and sold lemonade to raise money so that HPP families and their children could have the supplies needed to thrive in school.
Her hard work paid off, as over twenty families donated a myriad of supplies, and approximately forty dollars were raised to buy even more.
“I know that people are going through tough times, and kids needs supplies for school,” Sheedy said. “I didn’t want them to feel left out by not having what they needed to do well in school. I was also glad to see my neighbors pitch in to help others. I definitely plan to do this again!”
HPP really appreciates your efforts Erinn! Keep up the great work!
