Attending Physician at San Francisco General Hospital & South East Health Center
Former Medical Director of Healthcare for the Homeless
As a physician and professor, Dr. Daniel Wlodarczyk has played an integral role in promoting public health in San Francisco. Dr. Dan – as he is affectionately known by his patients and colleagues – was among the first physicians to recognize the importance of quality health care for underserved pregnant women and families in the city. His insights planted the seed that eventually became the Homeless Prenatal Program. His wisdom informs the agency’s work to this day. Dr. Dan’s humility and his unwavering commitment to the city’s most vulnerable citizens is an inspiration to be celebrated by the community he has helped create.
