Because of your support last year, HPP was able to provide 3,960 homeless and low-income families with programs and services to help them break the cycle of poverty.Your generosity has helped to create a safety-net for the growing number of struggling families in our city. Thank you for joining together in our work. Because of you, thousands of families are looking toward the New Year with newfound confidence in their health, stability and self-sufficiency. Thanks to so many partners who came together to help our clients have a happy holiday season. From donating turkeys for our Thanksgiving Meal Give-Away to hosting book drives for our Holiday Party, we were overwhelmed with the outpouring of community support from families, schools, community groups and businesses. A special thank you to Amici’s East Coast Pizzeria and KNBR Radio for donating an incredible $15,000 store credit to HPP! This ongoing donation will provide meals for our clients throughout the year, while they are onsite for classes and workshops.
Our weekly Fatherhood Group took a break from their lunch to show their appreciation for the fresh pizza and salads they enjoyed last Friday!
NEW DONATION POLICYDue to space and safety we have updated our donation policy and are no longer able to accept strollers and car seats directly. However, your new or gently-used stroller or car seat can still benefit HPP families. If you have a stroller or car seat you’d like to donate, please contact our partner agency sfsmiles. They will clean, store and test items for safety and then pass them on to HPP clients.
We continue to welcome donations of gently-used baby and maternity clothes, as well as books and diapers. Our updated policy is listed here.
Please note that we are no longer able accept women’s and men’s clothing, but your non-maternity adult clothing can still benefit HPP. Donate these items and select HPP (#35) as your charity of choice to Community Thrift and we will receive proceeds from their sale. Community Thrift sells used clothing, housewares and furniture however, please note they DO NOT take baby/children’s items or clothing.
