As we celebrate our 25th Anniversary, this year’s Annual Report reflects on the growth and impact of our organization, from a small prenatal service site for homeless, expectant women to a dynamic, award-winning family resource center serving over 3,500 families each year. HPP now offers comprehensive case management, perinatal and parenting support, housing assistance, domestic violence services, mental health services, substance abuse support, child welfare support, job training and emergency support of basic needs. We couldn’t have come this far without the support of our generous donors.
In considering our incredible achievements over the past year, we at HPP are reminded daily of the challenges that continue. As the cost of living increases in San Francisco, so do the struggles of our most vulnerable families. As noted in the report, 1,873 families came to HPP seeking support with housing – a 13% increase in the number since the prior year.
Though our city continues to grow and develop, it’s never been harder for our clients to find safe, affordable family housing. HPP has responded to this rising need with innovative new programs, strategic advocacy and continued comprehensive services for our families. We believe that with the continued support of generous, thoughtful donors like you HPP will help pave the way for a solution to the problem of affordable housing in San Francisco.
